Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
At CasasMore we respect your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, how we protect it and what rights you have, in accordance with Costa Rica's Law No. 8968 on the Protection of Individuals regarding the Processing of their Personal Data.
1. Who is responsible for your data
CasasMore — Strategic Real Estate Advisory, based in Alajuela, Costa Rica. You can contact us at hola@casasmore.com or by phone/WhatsApp at +506 8530-7070.
2. What data we collect
- Contact form: name, email address and your message.
- Visit scheduling: name and surnames, email, mobile phone, ID number, occupation, workplace, income level (optional), how you heard about us, number of visitors and the name and ID number of each companion, vehicle plate (if you provide it), preferred payment method, and the dates and times you choose.
- Staff accounts (agents and administrators): name, email and login credentials, stored protected.
- Technical and usage data: pages visited, device type, browser, approximate location and interactions with the site, collected through analytics cookies (see section 5).
3. What we use it for
- To answer your inquiries and contact you about properties.
- To arrange, confirm and manage property visits, including access control to the property when required.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it.
- To measure the performance of our advertising (for example on Facebook and Instagram).
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We only share it when necessary with:
- The CasasMore agent assigned to your request and, when needed to carry out the visit, the owner or manager of the property.
- Service providers that help us operate the site (hosting, email delivery, analytics and advertising measurement), who may only use the data to provide those services.
- Authorities, when a legal obligation requires it.
Some of these providers (for example Google and Meta) may process data outside Costa Rica.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
Analytics and advertising cookies (Google and Meta) are only activated if you accept them in the cookie notice; if you decline, they stay off. You can change your decision at any time from "Cookie preferences" in the page footer. We use the following:
- Google Analytics 4 and Google Signals: statistics on how visitors use the site.
- Meta Pixel (Facebook): measures the effectiveness of our ads and lets us show relevant ads on Facebook and Instagram.
- Session cookie: strictly necessary, only used when staff sign in to the admin area.
- Local preference: your browser stores that you accepted the cookie notice so we do not ask again.
If you accepted cookies and you request a visit or send us a message, we may also send that conversion event to Meta from our own server (Meta Conversions API). In that case we send only information such as your email address and phone number in encrypted (hashed) form, never in plain text, so Meta can measure the effectiveness of our ads.
The site also loads third-party content such as 3D virtual tours (Matterport), maps (OpenStreetMap), fonts and icon libraries, which may receive technical data such as your IP address when they load.
You can block or delete cookies from your browser settings, use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or manage ad preferences in your Facebook account. Blocking some cookies may affect parts of the site.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your data only as long as needed for the purposes described above and to meet legal obligations. When it is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymize it.
7. How we protect it
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures: encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted access to authorized staff and protected credentials. No system is 100% secure, but we work to reduce risks.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access your personal data, rectify it, request its deletion, object to its processing and withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise these rights, write to hola@casasmore.com and tell us what you need; we will reply as soon as possible. If you believe your rights were not respected, you can file a complaint with Costa Rica's data protection authority (PRODHAB).
9. Minors
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from people under 18.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
